Simple yet seemingly complex!

Today, I had a chanced conversation with an amazing person I am blessed to meet. As it goes, nothing in this world is easy. To achieve anything, it has its own share of difficulties...Problems. Can there be a life without problems, I mean in a worldly way? May be or May be not! Problems, the manifestations of our thoughts. What is our natural reaction to problems? Sulk? Stay put? Solve them? Well, trying to solve most of us do! But, we might give up or wait for a miracle to happen!

Mostly, we have many thoughts running through our mind endlessly just round about the problem instead of hitting it bang on. These thoughts get interwoven around the problem. Many thoughts produced by our very own mind. Oh boy, do we lose what we are ought to do in the process? What will happen to me? How is it going to affect me? What will I be losing? Such thoughts that make us truly deeply madly get stuck with the problem.... pushing ourselves into suffering! Problems/difficulties we talk about here might not be to the extent of things like Theory of relativity...it is to apply to the mundane routine that we are in.

This amazing person gives a way to solve this seemingly complex problem...which is to Intensely Relax and to Intensely Focus (on what is the actual problem). The wonderful part - one results in the other. Intense relaxation helps achieve Intense focus and vice versa.

The rest, my friends, is for us to do...

Cya again!

Watching Chiranjeevi...Live....

May 15, 2010. A day that has a very special place in my life. The important reason being I got through the prestigious SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai for MBA. And the second one is on a different side altogether. I have seen my on-screen diva, greatest actor of all time. We fondly call him Chiru. For the dumb and ignorant folks, he is Megastar of Tollywood, CHIRANJEEVI. Aah...How good the name sounds. And I have not seen him on TV or the silver screen as always. He appeared right before me. Man, it was not a dream. Yes, he was right infront of me :D

If some of you are not aware, Chiru is into politics of late and found a party called Praja Rajyam, which translates to People's Land in English. To the disappointment of many die hard fans like me, he quit films for politics. How sad! And in the course, he did a praja yatra a few days back to get the Polavaram project back in action. So he toured in my hometown too. And co-incidentally and by God's grace, i happened to be in my motherland :D . From a messenger i appointed, came to know chiru was coming to the very lane where i live. See, sure this was the day where all the stars were in my favour. I was so excited to see him live. I along with my parents waited for his arrival on time. Thanks to the messenger.

And in a few minutes, there he was, the man, whose film was the first ever movie i watched. I have grown up watching his films, danced to his numbers(ofcourse when i was a kid). The man who amuses me with his amazing demeanour and fantabulous performance. The man who can make even the dumbest of dumbs dance. There he was, infront of me, clad in a khadi shirt and dhoti. Still he looked super handsome to me. To my utter frustration, he turned his head to the other side when he just passed by me. I was hell bent to grab his attention and so called out to him 'Chiru', 'Chiru'...An assistant of his finally noticed me and shown me to chiranjeevi. May God bless him. And this is the most unforgettable moment to me, Chiru turned to me, yeah he glanced at me. And i blew him a flying kiss, and he give a look that we only have a chance to watch in films. Whoa, I was instantly floored. I could see or hear nothing around. And he gave a very warm smile. And never in my life i can forget that very expression of his. Before moving out of my vision, he gave a thumbs up and i gave it back. :).

The unexpected happenings of the day made me more than ecstatic. What more can i say. The excitement of getting into SP Jain, my dream school was overruled by this incident!!

He may not be a Brad Pitt. But no one in this world can match his charm and grace. Many actors come and go, but no one can reach to chiru's level. He is always the 'Jagadekaveera' for many people. He is a father figure to me. How i wish he is of my age :D . Lot of people see only their hero in him and not a politician. Same is the case with me. How old he might be or where ever he is in future, i always adore him as my favourite hero of all times. I sincerely wish to see him back in movies. Ofcourse, not as a lover of some kid-heroine. But as a father, a leader etc. Neverthless, Chiru rules the hearts of many people and will rule the hearts of the generations to come forever.

'MayaBazar'...Truly Magical!!!

Gen-X and Movies...huh...what to say...Put on TV or see that hoarding when you are struck in the city traffic, what do you see? Publicity for yet another sappy, boring, teenage so-called romantic(or call it love) movie. These kinds of stories have been ruling most of the -woods of India. But now, there is a breath of fresh air. This wind has mesmerised many generations till now and continues to do so with a new fragrance. I just enjoyed it. Guess what i am talking about? Yes, it's the evergreen and epic movie 'MayaBazar', Re-released in COLOR.

First let me talk about the new charm of the movie. Probably for once i am feeling so happy that we are so ahead in technology. Otherwise, this miracle would not have happened. I am an ardent fan of Old telugu movies from when i started watching movies. But born in this generation, i haven't had the privilege to watch movies of that era(1950-1970) on silver screen. But now i am happy that this wish is fulfilled and i got a bonus candy, the color version of the movie :) . How amazing it was!! The quality of the picture, the subtle colors used and taking care of every minute detail shows the hardwork gone behind transforming the entire movie to color.

And now about the very movie. This is actually a love story unlike the ones that i described in my opening lines. I have no words to describe how gorgeous all the cast looked(their beauty enhanced with the colors used). The grandeur of the movie is extraordinary. The lead lady, Savitri is breath takingly beautiful. And no other fits best Lord Krishna like Late Sri NTR did. Man, he was so handsome. And Sri SV Ranga Rao, i bet i have never seen a song like 'Vivaha Bhojanambu' till date. Ofcourse, our ANR is good too. The direction, the photography, especially the screenplay are mind blowing. A love story woven around the characters from the great Indian epic, Mahabharatha is possible only by the imagination of a great brain. They show in the movie some pieces of technological brilliance which came just out of imagination. People who already watched the movie, must have observed a kind of telepathic machine and a lie detector which are unknown terms at the time of making of the movie.

The songs in the movie are my all-time favourite. There are lot of movies now full of graphics and animation effects. To me, they look nothing but artificial. This movie too has graphics, but they seem so natural to you. It's may be you get involved so much in the movie, that the un-naturality(if any) goes unnoticed.

When i left for the movie, i never expected a HOUSEFULL. But to my surprise, it was. And the amazing thing is larger percentage of audience is youth. There were many children too who enjoyed very well the scenes with magic etc. The people who are behind this project should be highly appreciated because of whom people got a chance to watch this great epic movie. It's glory is revived. This generation gets a taste of the past grandeur. I recommend each telugu person to watch this movie as a must. Non-telugus take a translator along :).

Sometimes words can't describe your feelings exactly. And you end up writing everything but about how you felt. That's what i did just now. I thought of sharing my experience, but couldn't. The best thing you can do is 'GO and Watch the movie' to know what the feeling is like. In short, it's eternal bliss.

Finally, I pity the OSCAR. It is so unlucky that it din't get a chance to present itself to Mayabazar, one of the very few classic and finest examples of movie making.

Happy New Year!!!

Whoa. It's holiday time.
Merry Christmas to all of you!!

I sense lot of celebration in air right now!! I am already feeling it. Don't you??
From the past few days, whoever i meet, the first question they pop at me is "What plans for New year celebrations?" So this is a default question at the end of any year. This takes front seat over How-are-you-How-is-work kind of routine. Yes, it is a welcome change. But what gives me grain-of-sand amount of surprise is why should we celebrate the first day of an year?

May be the celebrations are to remind us that a new year with full of opportunities is awaiting everyone or may be to remind us one whole year has just passed by :) or may be just to party. Reasons can be infinite. I give no talk on the last option.Celebrations and parties, one great way for socialising..

But the other two, I wonder isn't everyday that we wake up a NEW day?? Aren't we gifted with lot of opportunities every single day? Why should we remind ourselves of this only on January 1? There is a lot of learning with every passing day. Who can deny that?

I believe a day when we learn something new, when we are happy, when we helped someone is worth celebrating. It takes nothing but to love all simple things in life :).

For me, January 1 is like any other day.

Nevertheless, A very Happy New year to all!!

I hope all your dreams come true in very very near future, may it be this year or in the new year to come. Wish you all happiness in the world.
Enjoy and have fun :)

A Plea, are you listening?

What better way to kick start my blog than this!!
One fine day, my friend Krishna Chaitanya and me were discussing about environmental issues and wastage of paper. That day i wanted to write something to spread a message to all and call myself a responsible citizen of Planet Earth. The result is the below write-up. I urge, plead, demand, beg all of you to try and follow the suggestion given at the end :)
.Read on...

Hi, to all the esteemed members of the human race. I am your fellow being on our only home, the Earth. I come before you today to put forth my heart wrenching plea. I hope with all my heart that you can empathise with me and co-operate as you are considered to be the epitome of wisdom.

Nature, in which we are all a part, has always taken care of itself. Atleast that is all we believed for ages now. But I am afraid that it will soon turn out to be a false. The temperatures on our dearest Earth are increasing manifold day after day. Climate is changing drastically for bad. You humans are suffering from unknown diseases and infections which are never known to you before. When a flood hits, you give charities. But did you forget your ancestor’s golden words ‘Prevention is better than cure’?

I am always friendly to you. I offer all my by-products whole heartedly to you. I become a chair if you want to sit. I get moulded in the hands of an artist. I give you shelter in your tough times. I cure many of your diseases. Even though you hit me with a rock, I still offer you my children. I inhale all the harmful gases that you produce and give you back pure and fresh air. I heard many humans preaching that give back only good even to your enemy. But what are you doing to me? I offer so much to protect your life line. But you take away the life breath out of me. You kill me mercilessly and use all parts of my body for your material contentment.

Every cell in my body craves to protest against you. But I just can’t. I’m designed in that way. But you can’t take advantage of my weakness forever. Mother Nature will stand for my suffering. It is high time that you humans realised that you have disrupted nature’s age-old processes. And I warn you that every single being on Earth has to face her wrath. Who gave you the right to make us suffer for no fault of ours? Who gave you the right to kill us? Who gave you the right to make our family and friends mourn for our loss? I request all the humans to show mercy on me. Save me. Help our species grow in abundance. Spare me the honour of a natural death. By this, save yourselves, God’s unmatched creation of all species, the humans from extinction. I see many people trying to save our home. I get to learn that they are called environmentalists. I plead each and everyone of you to join them and do your best not to reap disgrace and not to show ill-respect towards the most beautiful of God’s creations.

I wish you would listen to me, for you are my best friend. Adieu.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you my name. I am THE TREE.

My attempt at writing a story(or call it whatever you want to) to spread the message ‘Save trees, Save mankind’. If you like it, Please pass it on. If you don’t like it, still okay. Either way, please do your bit to save trees.

A tip: I observe lot of people use scribble pads just for once and top of it, waste lot of space in the book. I would suggest, first write everything in pencil and for the second time, use a pen/sketch pen over it. In this way, we are saving a book. And if few thousands of us do the same, a tree is saved. As simple as that. Also recycling cost is reduced. I have been following this from my engineering. Sometimes it is worth to be called a miser :)

Dedicated to all those who use paper (which includes books, tissue papers etc.) thoughtfully!

Welcome...

The first post on the very first blog that i have ever created. It's a truly amazing feeling.

My blog name is inspired from Ayn Rand's 'The Fountain Head’. I am deeply fascinated by the protagonist of the novel Howard Roark, an individualistic young man with integrity.

I never wished to create a blog until i realised and experienced the power of sharing thoughts with like-minded people. The inspiration and joy it gave me, made me step into the blogging world. I share my thoughts in this place, the happenings in my small yet lovely world, my ideas and blah blah...

Hope this turns out to be a very interesting and enchanting journey and hope the writer (now a blogger!) in me pops her head out very often.

I now remember these ever inspiring lines
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go, before I sleep" :)

Welcome to my world!!
